Cyber Deck
Raspberry Pi-powered cyber deck that uses NASA Open APIs to retrieve and display real-time Earth imagery, astronomy photos, and natural events occurring around the world. The project integrates a custom transparent PCB, embedded electronics, a custom enclosure, and a purpose-built interface into a 2-piece portable device.

Build Overview
This was the very first project that required me to construct a proper enclosure! Rather than go the 3D printing route, I chose to laser cut acrylic sheets and assemble them into a custom enclosure with chicago screws and standoffs. I used NASA's APOD, Image and Video Library, and EONET APIs to dynamically display data on the cyber deck's screen. I limited input to a macropad and mapped each key to either switch between screens or show the next image or EONET mapping. I created a custom PCB to provide a way to trigger LEDs based on the current status of the fetched natural event.
